At the beginning of this book i was very undecisive about continuing it. Memories of My Melancholy Whores is a book that you have to pay close attention to, and may have to keep a dictionary next to you to understand a lot of difficult words. Other than that i think ths book was amazing. It really brings out the real world thats out there, the type of world that humans don't think about everyday. Gabriel Garcia is a very superstitous author that as a journalist he brings out the idea of a ninety year old man who falls in love with a young virgen, Througout his whole life he has never fallen in love, He has always been with prostitutes, and didnt take anybody serious. So what happens when he finally falls in love at the age of ninety and to a virgen? I highly recommend this book to readers who think about life a different way and he have done a bit of unbelievable things, because this book will make you look at life a bit differently.

I enjoyed the whole concept of Memories of My Melancholy Whores, and how it was a love story about a man who fell in love at the age of ninety with a fourteen year old virgin. He found this young girl so enchanting but she was also always very exhausted from caring for sibilings and her job sewing buttons, she can do little but sleep. Yet, with this sleeping beauty at his side, it is he who awakens to a romance he has never known. I enjoyed reading this book because Gabriel Garcia Marquez is an amazing author who can really paint a beautiful picture to his readers through the art of literary expression. I recommend this book to everyone who like to challenge themselves because this novel isnt that easy to read but it is an amazing novel. Quote From The Book:
